13th JULY 2003

BOTESDALE AND RICKINGHALL

Today's weather: A very very hot day.

The villages of Botesdale and Rickinghall or to be strictly correct The Rickenhalls for there are two, Rickinghall Inferior (lower) and Rickinghall Superior (upper) are now joined together and stretch for nearly two mile along the old A143 a few miles from Bury St Edmunds. Although the villages are joined they each have there own public houses shops and churches but do share some amenities.

A couple of old pictures of Rickinghall, kindly sent to me by Patrick Dyer of San Antonio, Texas.
Patrick thinks they were taken around about the 1950s .
