This weeks images come from Friston, a lovely village standing a few miles west of Saxmundham. It has one of the few windmills left in the county, which is presently undergoing major restoration by its owners to bring it back to its former glory. |

The church of St Mary's stands on a small hill overlooking the village, the church has a rather unusual part slate and part tile roof. |

The post mill at Friston dominates the village and is in the process of being restored. It is said to be one of the tallest mills in the country. |

The Fantail of the mill, this is the mechanism by which the mill turned so that it always faced into the wind, this way the mill would always be able to work no matter which way the wind was blowing. I wouldn't like to have been the miller climbing those steep steps day after day. |

This classic car was seen travelling through the village. I wonder if dogs are as bad as children in the back of cars, at least you don't get the usual things like Mum… are we there yet or Dad… I need a toilet. |
