A walk along the shore of Lake Lothing
from Lowestoft to Oulton Broad.
Today`s weather : Sunny and very hot.

Two ex Navy landing craft awaiting conversion for use in the oil industry.

Leathes ham, next to Lake Lothing is where the footpath
should be,
but due to the wet winter the path is still flooded.

Another photograph of where the footpath should be, between the two lines of trees.

Looking down river for the railway bridge towards Lowestoft.

Two old boats on the slipway being repaired and re-painted,
the one in the foreground
hails from Brixham.

The skeleton's of two old herring drifters.

Parts of the engine can still clearly be seen in the skeleton of this old drifter.

An old anchor on display at the cruising club,
the two large buildings in the background
once belonged to Brooke Yachts, which built prestige
yachts including Sir Richard Branson's
Virgin Atlantic Challenger which broke the record for the fastest crossing
of the Atlantic.

And finally we walk through the railway tunnel into Oulton Broad.

Looking up Oulton Broad from the lock gates.
