MV COMMUNICATOR

Today's weather: A mainly wet and blustery day interspersed with a few sunny periods.

A chance e-mail received from Mike Brand in Israel told me about the return to her home port of Lowestoft of the historic pirate radio ship, “MV Communicator” the former Lowestoft ship “Gardline Seeker”. The ship has returned to Lowestoft for repairs to bring it back to its former glory as a radio ship and to broadcast again in 2004. The ship came over from Holland where it had been vandalised and even underwent a sabotage attack which resulted in the ship nearly sinking.

The ship’s former name and home port can still be seen on the stern.
