Not even 10 o'clock yet and already quite a few people on the beach and walking along the prom. |

St Edmunds hill has over the years become more commonly known as Gun Hill because of the six cannon that stand on the cliff top. |

Originally built in 1800 as a reading room this octagonal building now houses the RNLI museum. |

Earlier this week Southold's newly completed pier welcomed it's first passenger ship in more than 70 years when the steamship MV Balmoral arrived to undertake a cruise up the coast to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft before leaving on Saturday for a cruise down the coast to London. |
