This week's photographs

SOUTHWOLD.
Today`s weather : Very dull and overcast with some showers.

Southwold's new pier, the first pier to be built in Britian for over 45 years,
it will stretch
610 ft into the sea and cost nearly £1,000 000 to build.

Even though the pier is not yet completed,
it has already won 3rd prize in the
national pier of the year 2001 awards.

Very few people walking on the seafront today.

Southwold's much photographed and painted lighthouse.

Chapel street with its very colourful cottages.

The Swan hotel in the market square.

The crooked house toy shop.

These cannon's on Gun hill were in days gone by fired on festive
occasions until there was
a tragic accident, when 1 failed to fire and a volunteer gunner looked
down the barrel to
see why it hadn't fired, I'm sure you can guess the rest.

These beach huts may not look much, but they are
very sought after, one recently sold for
between £30,000-£40,000.
