WALBERSWICK HARBOUR
Today's weather: A lovely sunny autumn day.
Walberswick stands on the south bank of the river Blyth estuary opposite the town of Southwold in an area of outstanding natural beauty known as The Suffolk coast and heaths. |

Looking up the River Blyth, someone seems to
have found a good place to sit and take
in both the view and the autumn sun.

An old fisherman's hut, the old gentleman in the doorway and the hut seen to be about as old as each other. |

Children everywhere love to fish for crabs and Walberswick's no exception, every year during the summer the British Crabbing Championships are held here, when hundreds of children line the riverbanks and compete to catch the largest crabs, whilst also raising money for charity. |

Looking out to sea through the pierheads.

Quite a few people enjoying a stroll on the beach today .

Looking across the sand dunes and heathland towards the harbour buildings. |

Even more children crabbing from this bridge, the crabs around Walberswick must lead a torrid life never knowing when it's there turn be caught, thankfully all are returned to the water unharmed, no doubt to be caught another day. |

Low tide leaves exposed plenty of lovely MUD!. |

Another old hut on the river bank, this one looks to have been turned into a holiday retreat. |

But nothing about the doors and windows seems to be straight. |
