Wickham market is a largish village originally on the main A12 trunk road to London but now bypassed, it still retains many of its shops and has a lovely church packed tightly into its centre. The village has a railway station but funnily enough this is situated a couple of miles away in the village of Campsea Ashe although still retaining the name of Wickham market station. |

This red brick building, now shops and offices was formerly The White Hart public house and is supposedly haunted by a ghost said to be one Betty Price who was executed for being a witch. |

A little way out of the village stands the old Smock Mill, like other mills in the county it has been turned into residential use. I think this one looks more like a Summerhouse. |
