WRENTHAM
Today's weather:A very overcast and showery day with a few sunny spells.
Wrentham is a pleasant village lying about 7 miles south of Lowestoft astride the busy A12 trunk road. |

The Horse and Groom public house stands along side the busy A12 trunk road. |

As you can see this thatched cottage has recently had its ridge re-thatched. |

The somewhat unusually shaped Congregational Chapel. |
..
At some time in the past this tree outside the Congregational Chapel must have split its trunk and in order to try and save it a metal tie bar has been placed through the trunk to hold it together. |

Wrentham is one of the few Suffolk villages to still have an old animal Pound, a place where in olden days stray cattle and animals were placed until their owners could collect them. |

The parish church of St Nicholas lies a short distance from the village centre. |

The lovely tree lined path leading up to the church doorway. |

The centre of Wrentham with its many Antique shops and Restaurants. |

The old 19th Town Hall that stands in the high street has now been converted into private dwelling, a very unusual place to live! |

This is probably the smallest and in my opinion the prettiest cottage in the village. |
